The Merchant’s Guild is one of the two major Item Factions players can join in Last Epoch, offering a player-driven trading system that allows buying and selling items with other players within the same Season and Game Mode. It is especially appealing to players who enjoy trading and want quicker access to specific gear without relying solely on drops Last Epoch Gold.

How to Join the Merchant’s Guild  
To join the Merchant’s Guild, players must reach Chapter 9 in the campaign and arrive at the Upper District of Maj’elka. There, you meet the NPC Zerrick, who introduces the two factions-Merchant’s Guild and Circle of Fortune-and directs you to their respective bases. The Merchant’s Guild operates out of the Bazaar, where you speak to the faction leader Nama to officially join.

Trading Mechanics  
Once a member, you gain access to the Bazaar, a marketplace with multiple vendors specializing in different item types such as weapons, armor, idols, and jewelry. Players use two currencies for trading:
- Gold: The actual currency exchanged to buy or sell items.  
- Favor: A special currency earned by killing enemies and completing quests, which acts as a “tax” or fee for listing and purchasing items in the Bazaar.

Items bought through the Merchant’s Guild become character-bound, meaning they cannot be traded again or sold once acquired, and items earned via the Circle of Fortune faction cannot be sold in the Bazaar.

Ranking and Benefits  
The Merchant’s Guild has a 12-rank progression system based on earning Reputation by spending Favor. Each rank unlocks the ability to buy and sell progressively better items:
- Early ranks allow trading of basic, magic, and rare items.  
- Mid ranks unlock set items, unique items, idols, and exalted gear.  
- Higher ranks grant access to legendary weapons, armor, and all legendary items buy Last Epoch Gold.

Pros and Cons  
The Merchant’s Guild is ideal for players who prefer convenience and want to acquire specific items quickly through trading rather than relying on random drops. It also enables earning gold by selling unwanted gear, which can fund new builds.
