Phase 1: The Awakening of Corruption
Attack Patterns:
Corruption Pulse: The Corrupted Horror releases a pulse of Diablo 4 Items dark energy that radiates out from its body. Anyone within range will take significant damage. The pulse also creates several corruption pools on the floor, which deal poison damage over time. You must avoid standing in these pools while also moving out of the way of the pulse itself.
Corrupted Slam: The Corrupted Horror slams the ground with its enormous claws, creating shockwaves that spread outward. These shockwaves are slow, but their damage is significant. Dodge to avoid them, as getting hit can knock you back into the toxic pools or traps in the environment.
Strategy:
Positioning: Keep your distance and constantly move to avoid both the Corruption Pulse and the Corrupted Slam. Focus on staying mobile to avoid standing in the corruption pools. Use your mobility skills (teleport, dash, or quick movement abilities) to evade incoming attacks.
Dealing with Minions: During this phase, the Corrupted Horror will occasionally summon waves of minions—usually Corrupted Cultists and Cursed Abominations. While these minions are not as dangerous as the boss, they can overwhelm you if left unchecked.
AoE Abilities: Use your area-of-effect (AoE) skills to clear these minions quickly. Targeting the Corrupted Horror while clearing its minions will keep the fight manageable.
Phase 2: Dark Infusion and Summoning
At around 50% health, the Corrupted Horror will enter Phase 2, and the fight escalates significantly.
New Attack Patterns:
Dark Infusion: The Corrupted Horror will begin infusing its attacks with potent dark magic, causing each hit to leave a corruption debuff on you. This debuff causes you to take additional damage over time, so it’s crucial to stay on the move. If you are hit by an infused attack, find a cleansing light (which will appear randomly in the arena) to remove the debuff.
Summon Dark Pools: The Corrupted Horror will summon corruption pools more frequently during this phase. These pools are deadly, dealing massive poison damage and slowing your movement. Steer clear of them, and try to use AoE effects to clear them when you can.
Summon Reinforcements: The Corrupted Horror will begin summoning more Corrupted Demons and Cursed Abominations to overwhelm you. These reinforcements can be numerous and will often spawn close to the boss, so be ready to deal with Diablo IV Items waves of enemies as you focus on the boss.
